The hands behind selah

There's a moment in birth work when everything goes quiet — when a mama settles into her breath, finds her rhythm, and the room just shifts. That pause, that exhale, that sacred stillness — that's what Selah means to me. And it's what I wanted to bottle.

My Story

I've spent years walking alongside women as a doula — holding space in delivery rooms, sitting with new mamas in those tender early postpartum days, and watching firsthand how much the right support changes everything. Through that work, I fell deeply in love with herbalism. I saw how plants could calm a nervous system, ease a difficult recovery, nourish a depleted body, and bring a woman back to herself. I started studying, blending, and learning — and somewhere along the way, Selah Botanicals was born.

The Gap I Saw

As a doula, I was constantly being asked the same question: "What can I actually take? What's safe?" The wellness world is full of beautiful products, but so few of them are made with pregnant and postpartum women truly in mind — with their safety as the foundation, not a footnote. I created Selah to fill that gap. Every product starts with one question: would I recommend this to the mamas I serve?

What I Believe

I believe the postpartum period deserves as much tenderness as pregnancy. I believe rest is not laziness — it's medicine. And I believe that plants, when used with knowledge and intention, are one of the most powerful tools a woman has. Selah Botanicals is my offering to you — made with the same care I bring to every birth I attend.

Whether you're growing a baby, recovering from birth, or simply navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood — I made this for you. You deserve to be held too.

With love,

Jennifer
